Evans Tuning Event 2026
New Year, New Sound, New You...
!!** Happy New Year **!!
Normality has resumed and as we wave goodbye to 2025, we’re straight into 2026 with a BANG!!!!
A tuned bang that is… An Evans Drumhead tuning event kinda bang.
For those of you who follow our every move, you know by now, we only do this event ONCE a year and it’s without doubt one of the most exciting, informative, in-demand days EVER.
The ‘tune up’ day with Ben Alldred is so popular that we always struggle to accommodate demand. This year, our aim is to see EVERYONE, so we are going to be holding this event ALL weekend!!!
In case you haven’t experienced an Evans Tuning Day, allow us to set the scene.
You’re sat at home, busting to gig. There’s not much happening on the scene in January, and your kit has been sat in cases since your last gig of ’25 which was a good 3 weeks ago. Excited to get back to it, on gig day you set up ready for a quick soundcheck…..
‘WHACK!!! Nnnnooooo! These drums sound like damp cardboard!!!’
Drum tuning can be so frustrating and quite stressful.
‘WHACK! WHACK!! What the hell has happened? My kit sounded so good a few weeks ago!!’
With a few minutes to spare before you take to the stage, panic sets in. You lose your head (see what we did there)….
‘WHACK! WHACK!! KICK!!! Whhhyyyyy is this happening? Somebody please help me….’
Moments ago you were ready to absolutely ROCK OUT and now you’re on your knees, looking to the guitarist for help (NOTE: never ever stoop that low!!!) the sound of your kit has completely changed your mood, you’re miffed, can’t get it together and now gotta play to a crowded room.
That’s where we jump in… Along with the crew from Evans, we’re here to help to solve all of these tuning issues plus answer a tonne of questions about drum heads, shells, sounds and what suits you / your kit best.
Keep ‘Saturday 31st January (10am to 5pm) AND Sunday 1st February (10am to 4pm)’ free. Don’t miss the chance to make YOUR drums sound better than ever before.
We’ll be in touch next week with further info.
Speak soon and hope your drums don’t make you (and others) cringe when you hit them 😉
Team DD.
